Our projects

Home / Our projects

The main goal of the KicF is :

  1. Developing and providing trauma training to social workers, who work in children's homes, schools or churches.
  2. Performing trauma programs for children

Project trauma training (duration 1 July 2019 to 1 August 2021)

In this project we develop trauma training for aid workers, teachers, pastors and child workers in orphanages, schools and churches. Specifically aimed at trauma aid for children. The implementation of the training courses in Nigeria is also part of this project. The training sessions are now in full swing.

Project Recovery Child trauma toolkit (duration 1 January 2020 to 1 August 2020)

In this project we develop trauma programs for children of various age groups. The care workers in the children's homes are trained to play an active role in the implementation of the trauma programs in the children's home or school where they work, under the guidance of the Kids in Crisis Foundation. For this purpose, a package of sports and games material is made available.

Food aid to children's homes

In our cooperation with a number of children's homes, we have been confronted with the fact that there is regularly a financial shortage to give the children a good meal.
From the Kids in Crisis Foundation we offer financial help if we receive donations for this. This allows the staff and the children of the children's homes to grow their own fruit and vegetables. Since 2019, we have been providing occasional food aid because KicF's focus is on trauma relief. We do try to bring other organisations that offer food aid into contact with the children's homes and relief organisations where the KicF works.

Abba International School

This primary school offers education to underprivileged children from the surroundings of Rafiki near Jos, Plateau State) and to children who in the future will participate in the trauma program of the Kids in Crisis Foundation. The building for the Abba International School was built in 2016 with a gift from the Volle Evangelie Gemeente Zwolle. (Netherlands).
The primary school started in September 2016 with 50 children. It is the intention that from this small local school also education will be offered to the children, who participate in one of our trauma programs.

This project has been completed.

Water Project

We are extremely grateful for the donation from the Mocca d'Or Foundation from the Netherlands. They have made it possible for us to have access to fresh water on the school grounds.
The relief organisation next to the school also makes use of this water supply.

This project will be completed in 2017.
